CBTF Practice Quiz: Logistics

• Make reservation on prairietest.com
  • Can’t make a reservation? Email <redacted> (scheduling)
• Location: Gilmer Hall 490A
• Do not be late! Be early!
  • Arrive early to check in
  • Test will automatically close a few minutes after the start time
• Practice quiz
  • Get a feel for the room, the environment, types of questions
  • No testing on content, so you won’t need to study for this one
  • Know things like: obvious UVA landmarks, opposite of True, runtime of insertion sort (it’s O(n^2))

CBTF Practice Quiz: Contents

• 6 questions, in a random order
  • Agreements and understanding question
    • Read through, click that you understand
  • Multiple choice, true/false questions
    • True/false, multiple choice select one, multiple choice select many
  • Symbolic input questions
    • Entering formulas such as “O(f(n))” or “E=m*c^2”
  • Proof blocks question
    • Given a series of steps for a proof (or algorithm) including incorrect steps, assemble the correct ones in the correct order
  • Array fill-in
    • Given a 1-D or 2-D array, fill in the correct values
  • Comments
    • List any comments you have (but must put something, at least “none”, for credit)

• How to register:
  • Go to prairietest.com and accept the invitation to CS 3100
  • You will then be able to reserve a slot for the practice quiz
  • Don’t see an invitation?
    • If you added the course late, we will update this week
    • If you did NOT add the course late, email the course email!
• If you got an invitation from prairielearn.com, ignore that for now
• CBTF is in Gilmer Hall, room 490A
• The system automatically bans you from taking the quiz if you are late!
• Arrive a bit early!
